Work It, Girl!

Sep 15, 2020

In this episode we were so thankful to have a conversation with Natasha Hemmingway about the Black Lives Matter movement and how we can show up as better allies. Natasha's motto for showing up as an influential voice in the Black Lives Matter movement is leading with heart, not hate. Natasha shares personal experiences with us and uses her voice to share useful information and resources we can all use to become better allies. Some of the topics we discuss include:

  • How to start conversations with your loved ones about allyship and being anti-racist
  • What to do if your attempts to have conversations aren't well-received
  • How you can show up for your black friends
  • Analogies you can use to help explain why this is such an important movement

To connect with Natasha and to learn more about her and her work in educating people about the Black Lives Matter movement, you can follow her on instagram @NatashaHemmingway.
